Senor Tomas Mexican - Latin Restaurant

This is by far my favorite restaurant in the area. The Latin cuisine is authentic and delicious and it’s difficult to pick a favorite dish. The enchiladas verdes and salsa verde with chips are what I order most often. So, so good!! I’ve never had a disappointing meal here. The atmosphere is beautiful and the waitstaff are always friendly and attentive. So glad to have this establishment in our community.

I have been coming here for more than 20 years and I love it. I am from Mexico and the food is one of the best around. I can not believe people say it’s not Mexican cause there are other people working from other countries. Let me tell you that it is very authentic. The service is excellent and they are a staple in downtown Hartland. Diamond in the rough.

Food was good but ordered the unsweetened iced tea. Took a sip and it had gone tannic making it bitter. It happens when iced tea isn't kept refrigerated and sits out for hours. The tannins in the tea make it bitter. Unless servers/staff drink it they don't realize it's happened. I informed the waiter and he told me it was fresh brewed and got a bit hostile. Came back and said there was nothing wrong with it. Told him it was bitter and asked for a glass of ice water. Then came back again said "nothing wrong it was brewed yest..(and stopped talking) I was in restaurant management and industrial food service for over 10 years and worked 3 years as a corporate trouble shooter. (think Kitchen Nightmares but within a corporatesetting) Just admit it. Say you didn't realize it happened and brew a new pot of tea. I can forgive the tea incident but arguing with a customer who politely informs you of an issue that's easily correctable is a huge black mark against an establishment No wonder it was empty at noon on a Wednesday.
